Bio
Hi, I'm Laurel, a flower and garden designer from Beacon, NY.
I have been a plant enthusiast all of my life. My father was a landscaper, and I grew up watching both of my parents happily puttering around in their gardens. My first job was working as a florist and, during that time, I learned about plant science as a biology major in college. Although I chose to pursue a career as a high school science teacher, I never abandoned my joy of working with plants (having summers off helped!), and I spent countless hours designing and installing gardens across four different homes. To further develop my skillset, I have recently completed two courses through the New York Institute of Art & Design: Floral Design and Landscape Design.
Philosophy
Our gardens and our home living spaces serve as sanctuaries for peaceful enjoyment away from the stresses of the outside world. As a designer, I foster a collaborative partnership with my clients to identify their floral styling or outdoor space needs and provide my expertise to create functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces that stay within budget. I aim to provide peace of mind, and my detail-oriented work ethic ensures that the client's unique style preferences are reflected and the project is executed well.
I thank you for your interest in my work. I am ready to collaborate when you are!
Regards, Laurel
